Attention, rising kindergarten parents! We will be holding in-person kindergarten registrations and screenings on Monday, April 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. If your child will be turning five by September 30, 2022, they are eligible to enroll for Kindergarten for the 2022–2023 school year. Please call the Laurel Meadow Elementary School (LMES) office at (804) 723-2040 to schedule a time that is convenient to you. Please read through the information below in order to access and fill out paperwork ahead of your scheduled appointment.
Hanover County Public Schools is now accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2022–2023 school year.
Children must be five years old on or before September 30, 2022, to be eligible. Parents and guardians may locate the school their child will attend online.
Please follow the steps outlined on the Student Enrollment page to register your child for kindergarten.
Please note that registration will not be considered complete until the in-person appointment takes place and the school registrar receives all necessary documentation required, including, but not limited to, a photo ID, an original birth certificate, and proof of residency.
Please call Fran Friel, LMES registrar, at 723-2040 to set up an appointment to complete the registration process. Incoming kindergarten students should come with you to the in person appointment in order to take part in a brief screening with one of our kindergarten teachers.
We encourage families to register their child for kindergarten by May 1.
